The MATMUT Trophy which has been created in 2008 to promote young jazz talents, takes another dimension for Jazz à Montauban et en Tarn et Garonne’s 30th anniversary. Thanks to the help of the MATMUT Company, the 1st International Jazz Band’s Prize of Montauban, MATMUT Trophy, was held in the Botanical Garden of Montauban, main venue of the jazz festival.
The application to the Prize is open to any jazz band with a maximum of 5 musicians, as well as to soloist, regardless of their age or nationality.
The contestants will be judged by a jury made of professional musicians, journalists of the music press and jazz lovers. The jury’s composition might change over the years.
